My Approach to Counseling
I take a holistic approach to therapy, supporting adults navigating grief, anxiety, depression, self-worth concerns, adjustment issues, and life transitions. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and Grief-Informed Professional, I offer a compassionate space to help you understand and process your emotions and losses while finding ways to cope, heal, and move forward.
A central part of my work includes Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), also known as tapping. I am an Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner and use Clinical EFT, an evidence-based approach supported by research. EFT is a simple yet powerful mind-body tool that can be learned and practiced both in and outside of sessions.
EFT involves gently tapping on specific acupressure points while bringing awareness to unhelpful thoughts, emotions, or memories. This process sends calming signals to the brain and nervous system, creating a sense of safety. When the body feels calmer, it becomes easier to face uncomfortable emotions without suppressing or avoiding them.
Many clients report feeling lighter, calmer, and more emotionally at ease after sessions. EFT encourages emotional acceptance and can help shift how we relate to challenges, often leading to new insights, relief, and meaningful healing.
If you are seeking a safe, non-judgmental, and nurturing space to share your story, I invite you to reach out. I offer both in-person and teletherapy sessions, and it would be an honor to walk alongside you as you find a positive path forward.
